Youth Disaster Preparedness Initiative
Active young people creating solutions and addressing social problems though Service Learning. This is an opportunity to serve those in need, with “bare hands and a soft heart”. This Great ACT can be performed locally, or team up with other highly motivated youth to travel to the Gulf Coasts, Katrina affected regions.

Express Yourself! – A Florida Writes initiative.
Kids are people too! They laugh, they smile, and they enjoy the little things in life! They
love to dream and imagine the “what ifs”… Yet, there are so many who have a tough time expressing those thoughts in writing. In Florida, 4th, 8th and 10th graders are challenged
to express themselves in writing on standardized tests. You can help motivate them to succeed.
